20-40 minutes after the 1st, 3rd, and 5th AM services

GWKids is continuing our Beginner Music Classes, an amazing opportunity to plant seeds of worship in your children. These classes are available to all PreK-5th graders who want to come. We are continuing our partnership with Prodigies, a colorful video music curriculum that includes the use of fun desk bells.

***This time around, there will be options for your child to dive deeper into their musical journey.

(1) All children will be adding to what they learned last year along with new lessons.

(2)This session, we will provide 2 music classes each Sunday: a 20 minute beginner class followed by a 20 minute advanced class.

Leading our advanced class will be Royce Rex who has experience in leading a children's choir. He will will be working with the children on more advanced musical concepts:

  • pitch

  • harmony

  • beginner Ear training (hearing a note and gaining the ability to repeat it)

  • beginner sight reading from sheet music

  • training to use their diaphragm

  • and much more...

*** How does my child join the advance class?

  • After the first class on Feb 19th, there will be an opportunity for your child to try out for the advanced class

  • They will be tested on notes, solfege signs, and rhythms we learned last session plus how fast they catch on.
