GWC members Paul & Kelley Godwin were vacationing recently on a cruise ship when Paul witnessed a man collapse from a heart attack. Trained in CPR, Paul and another passenger immediately went to work on the man, but their efforts seemed futile. When paramedics carried the man out, he appeared dead. But Paul could not accept it. Later in his cabin, he began to pray and command life to come back into the man. When exiting the ship, Paul was told by the ship’s doctor that the prognosis looked bleak. The man was not likely to survive, and if he did, he’d surely be a vegetable. Paul and Kelley kept praying. Later they received an email from the man’s wife, herself a cardiac nurse in Canada. The man had experienced a comeback, and was now expected to make a full recovery. Miracles DO happen, his Canadian doctor said. Thank God for people unafraid to take command of a situation and turn it to the glory of God!
