Find Your Open Door

Thank God for the Holy Ghost! The Spirit who dwells in us is the Spirit of Truth who shows us things to come. Late last year through prophecy the Holy Spirit began speaking about 2011 during a Sunday night service. As I went to pray and seek the Lord further, the Hoy Ghost revealed that 2011 is the Year of the Open Door. I saw a vision of a skier racing down a mountain in an alpine race. He maneuvered skillfully through the gates, which themselves resembled the number eleven. This is the year of access, accuracy and acceleration. We shall possess the gates of our enemy and take that which has been walled off from us. This access and accuracy will have us thriving in the midst of unrest in the world.

Shortly after these things were spoken, turmoil began to break out in the Middle East. The prophetic inner-ring nations surrounding Israel are in the process of throwing off former dictators. Younger men whipped into frenzy through social networking are rioting in the streets. God is orchestrating these events for two purposes: to bring a harvest of Christian converts out of Islam and to protect Israel as Bible prophecy predicts. These events illustrate an acceleration of prophetic occurrences so that we may know and believe His Word to us.

Through the years, God's plan has been unfolding before us so that now we stand at a line of demarcation. Israel stood in such a place as they journeyed from the wilderness into the promise land in Joshua 3. The Jordan River at flood stageÑan impossible barrierÑstood in their way. Yet they had a Word from God: Let my glory pass before you into the river and watch the river stand still. Three million people passed over on dry ground as the waters upstream actually piled up. They would soon possess territory that had been literally walled off from them. (Their first conquest was the mighty walled city of Jericho.)

Today we face many obstacles as well, both individually and collectively. Speak God's Word concerning 2011 and act like it's true! We're on a road we've not traveled before. Like the skier, we will accurately navigate the gates so we're in the right place at the right time. Those things the devil has hindered us from receiving are now in our grasp. New health, deliverance, restoration and provision await us. Divine associations and fresh favor lie just ahead. This is the year for us to see the Glory of God as never before. Ready, set, go!

Does the Middle East Affect Me?

Unless you have land or loved-ones in the Middle East, you may be tempted to blow off keeping up with the sobering news from the region. But don't. Here are some reasons to watch and pray over it often:

1. Jerusalem is still the apple of God's eye, and it's surrounded by hatred & chaos. If we love God, we will love His people.
2. It's our job as end-time Christians to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and speak out on her behalf. Even some deceived believers think God has moved on from His covenant with Abraham. He has not!
3. Oil and gas exports from the region affect U.S. jobs and economy (and therefore support of the gospel) bigtime.
4. The Bible foretells soon-coming giant waves of salvation for both Muslims and Jews.
5. When we take care of God's business, He takes care of ours.

Around the Way

Gene Wiseman. Thank you, Bro. Wiseman, for strengthening and confirming our church family during four glorious services in February. You didn't just tell us we were original seeds capable of producing the same fruit as God himself; you showed us! The special prayer and attention you gave our teenagers couldn't have come at a better time. That same week, at least 2 prodigals came home, with more on the way. Now we know that applying the Passover blood of Jesus on our doorposts means openly LIVING like Jesus, displaying His life in us for all to see. We look forward to having you back.

Master Sergeant Pete Martinez (wife, Irma) has just returned from a year of active duty, while Jacob Newell (dad: Don) is home for some quick R&R before he goes back. Both serve in the Army. Go troops! Thanks, too, to both families who bear the load without you while you're away.

Ezra Michael Macey was born Dec 20 (parents- Adam & Sophie), followed by Anna Elise Buntrock (Jan 6, parents- James & Claire), and Justice Charles Cardell (Feb 3, parents- Charlie & Rosie). Mommies pictured right. GWC also congratulates David & Kim Lee on the Jan 26 birth of Ava Grace (also pictured).
